What is Aam Panna?
Aam Panna is a refreshing mango drink made from raw mango. It is a traditional Indian mango drink, and almost every family in North India makes it during the hot summer months. If you drink this Aam Panna, the hot wind will not make you sick. North Indian summers are hot, so this drink is a locally sourced remedy for hot weather-related sickness. Raw mango is available in plenty between March and June. Ancient Ayurveda says this helps maintain body temperature, so it is a must-drink.
How to make this?
Making of concentrate is super easy. There are two steps involved.
Boil the raw mangoes till they become soft. Let them cool by keeping them in cold water. Once cold, remove the pulp and keep it in a separate bowl/plate. Scoop the inside from the peels as well. Combine green mango pulp, mint leaves, and spices in a blender or mixer. Make a smooth paste. Store them in a separate container in the fridge. Just before serving, pour some aam panna concentrate into the glass with ice and cold water. Mix and enjoy.
Ingredients Needed?

Fresh mint leaves- Fresh mint leaves give this aam panna a wonderful flavor and fragrance. Spice powders- Roasted cumin seeds powder, black salt, powdered jaggery. Green Chilli and ginger for that extra kick.
How long can we keep this concentrate?
Keep it in the refrigerator for a few days. We can easily keep this in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one month. Do not store anything after defrosting.
