Crispy, crunchy, and full of garlic flavor, this Air Fryer Lasooni Bhindi is perfect for any meal. It’s easy, needs only a few ingredients, and takes little time and oil. If you are looking for easy and delicious air fryer recipes, you will also love this—vegan and low-calorie. Green vegetables are a powerhouse of nutrition. Bhindi, AKA Okra, is one of them. The good thing is that most kids like it. Especially my kids. They use crispy Air Fried Kurkuri Bhindi as their snack or with rice or dal. Many people complain about slimy okra, but trust me; if you cook okra using some tricks, it will always come out crispy. 1)Make sure you dry after cleaning the whole Okra. 2)Do not cover okra while cooking after an initial one minute. 3) Use Lemon/Lime juice while cooking for no slime. Okra or Bhindi tends to use more oil while cooking. An air fryer is incredible when we avoid using more oil and try to make it healthier.

What Ingredients are needed?
For making this Air Fryer Lasooni Bhindi, we need only a few staple pantry ingredients. It’s super simple to make, and trust me; you will not go back to make something else after making this recipe. We Need, Bhindi/Okra- I always like to use fresh okra. Frozen okra is already slimy in texture, and cooking seems tricky for beginner cooks. Fresh bhindi or Okra is available in almost all Indian grocery or ethnic stores. Spices- Turmeric powder, salt, Kashmiri red chili powder/paprika/coriander powder are needed for this recipe. Aromatics- Lots of fresh minced garlic for this flavorful side. I have used fresh red chili as well, which is optional. Lime /Lemon Juice- For added tangy taste and freshness. One tbsp of oil for cooking.
Step-by-step process,
After cleaning and drying the bhindi, slice them slightly angularly. They look pretty. Take chopped /sliced bhindi in a big bowl. Add all the spices. Mix everything nicely. Make sure Bhindi is coated with spices. Mince fresh garlic and mix that properly with okra. Add oil to the okra /bhindi. Remix it. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or an air fryer liner. I did the air frying in two batches because my air fryer was small. You can judge that depending on your air fryer. Air fry at 350 F for 9-10 minutes. Your time can vary depending on your okra’s size or air fryer. Your crispy, crunchy lasooni bhindi/okra is ready. Sprinkle some lime/lemon juice, and enjoy.
