I love using Kashmiri red chili powder since it has less heat and is bright. Salt and oil are the usual staples in this recipe. The use of garlic powder is optional. You can use minced garlic as well. I sometimes do, and sometimes, I don’t prefer to. So, it’s optional for anybody.
