Al dente noodles are cooked with tons of garlic and chili oil. That’s how simple Chili Garlic Noodles are. Fresh green onion gives so much depth to the flavor. Whether you are looking for a simple weeknight dinner/lunch or a super quick lazy supper on weekends, this is a perfect choice. I cook these noodles when I don’t feel like cooking and still want something homemade on the dinner table. My family loves Asian food, and noodles are their absolute favorite. I love how versatile they are and still need just a few ingredients.
What Ingredients are Needed?
Noodles- I like to use everyday staple ingredients in almost all recipes. In this recipe, I have used thick spaghetti noodles; however, feel free to use the noodle which you love. Garlic- Who doesn’t like tons of garlic in noodles? They make the flavor so good and taste so delicious when caramelized. Chili Oil- You can certainly use store-bought chili oil. However, I like to use my homemade ones. Green Onion- They always add a touch of fresh onion flavor and are great for garnish.
How to Make This-
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. I prefer them al dente. Noodles taste amazing when they have a chewy texture during the bite. Take a pan and add a little bit of oil to it. Add minced/chopped garlic to the pan when the oil is hot. Cook till they look golden and caramelized. Add chili oil and noodles at this point. Then coat the noodles with chili oil and garlic. Make sure the noodles are coated well with the chili garlic sauce. Garnish with scallion/green onion. Serve them immediately.

What Variations Can You Have With This?
Sometimes I load the noodles with colorful vegetables. Crispy vegetables make a lot of difference in the taste and texture of the noodles. More so, it also improves the nutritional value of the dish. Different types of veg and non-veg protein can be added to the dish.
