I like to use baby bella or button mushrooms for my fried rice because they don’t have an overpowering taste. Shiitake mushrooms are your best bet if you like bold, intense flavors. I don’t like to use dried mushrooms, but if you like those and want to try them, why not? Give it a try for sure.

How to clean Mushroom?

Always buy fresh mushrooms. Wipe them clean with a damp paper towel. Mushrooms tend to soak up water like sponges, so never soak or dip them in water.

What type of rice is used?

Usually, previously cooked cold rice is used to make fried rice. Pre-cooked cold rice has a beautiful texture—it’s not mushy or lumpy, which makes it perfect.

Can we store it in the refrigerator?

Yes, you can. After making this rice, let it come to room temperature, then store it in a Refrigerator-appropriate container. Stays fresh for up to 3-4 days. What type of Soy sauce is used? I prefer a combination of dark and light soy sauce. I love the deep, umami flavor of dark soy sauce. Trust me; it provides the most delicious taste in any food. However, if you do not want your fried rice to be a little dark, you should use light soy sauce.

What type of pan is used?

Traditionally, fried rice is made in a wok. Cooking it on high heat imparts a lovely smokiness. Home cooking can’t usually achieve this since food is not exposed to high heat.

Is this gluten-free?

Depends . If you are using gluten-free sauce, then it is gluten-free.
